COCKPIT COUSINS

Seeing the adorable photo of Alex in KC this morning I was reminded of his cousins Heath and Mitchie doing the same thing three years ago.  After a little bit of a hunt I tracked down the other two photos. Pretty darned cute! Alex has arrived in Huntsville, AL safe and sound.

OFF FOR AN AFTERNOON OF FISHING IN IDAHO

Heath, Mitchell and our Belle off for an afternoon of fishing on a beautiful day in Idaho.  Great photo momma! Click and make it bigger - great Idaho view.

ALEX IS OFF TO SPACE CAMP 2014!

Our Alex is off to Huntsville, Alabama for his 3rd year of space camp.  Today is different than the last two years as this time our 12 year old is going without his brother - he is flying solo.  Mom and dad will be on pins and needles waiting for that call that says "Hi I'm here gotta go." Be brave Rich and Lindy!

PHOTOS OF RSD BASEBALL

Lindy captured some wonderful images of Ryan at a recent game so I thought a collage would be a great way to showcase them. Looking great Ryan!

RYAN SCOTT THEN AND NOW!

Dear DIL posted this photo of Ryan at age 6 and then today at age 14, on Facebook.  Pictures are so dear that I thought it was worth a re-post.

ALEX AT HIS SPRING CONCERT

Alex at his spring concert last Friday night - the boy has rhythm! Alex very successful on the drums, triangle, etc. End of an era for our Alex too - he is starting Jr. High.  So proud of this dear sweet, handsome boy!

END OF A SEASON, END OF AN ERA FOR RYAN SCOTT

The coin of a successful season for Ryan, a whole bunch of medals. He had 9 first place medals, runs the 1600 & 800 and anchors the 4x400 relay team.  Some personal bests this season was 2:25 in the 800 and 5:23 in the 1600.  61 sec for his part of the 4x400 relay. I believe that this could be construed as bragging but as his Grammie I believe that I do have bragging rights!!!!
Both Ryan's soccer and track seasons have come to an end this year and he will soon be playing baseball. School will be out for the year in a week or so in Missouri and our Ryan Scott will have left grammar school behind him.  High school for Ryan in the fall. Ryan had a great season in both soccer and track.  Great job Ry, we are so proud of you!

LARA'S FIRST COMMUNNION - LARA Erstkommunion

This beautiful family is the Gerhard Knauf family of Düngenheim, Germany. Gerhard, his lovely wife Claudia, Niklas and Lara. Thanks to the internet we have connected over the miles.  Such a blessing.  On our father's side my three times great-grandfather and Gerhard's four times great grandfather were the same person!  My great-great grandfather left Düngenheim and came to America in the mid-1800's.  Yesterday Lara (like our Heath last weekend) celebrated her first communion.
